Reserve overhaul: new credits, higher fee
The Sapphire Reserve got its biggest refresh yet in 2026. The annual fee rose to $795, but the card added a $300 annual travel credit plus monthly Peloton, Lyft, and DoorDash credits and up to $500 a year in hotel credits through Chase’s Edit collection. Existing cardholders see the new fee on their next anniversary.
The Edit hotel credit is now fully flexible
Chase removed the biannual split — the credit can now be used anytime between January 1 and December 31, making it easier to capture the full value.
New $250 Chase Travel hotel credit
A 2026-only credit for prepaid “Pay Now” stays of 2+ nights at select brands, which can stack with The Edit credit for up to $500 back on a single qualifying stay.
$75k-spend tier adds World of Hyatt Explorist status
Spending $75,000 in a calendar year now unlocks mid-tier World of Hyatt Explorist status — normally 30 nights — alongside IHG Diamond and Southwest A-List, good for the rest of that year and all of the next.
Major refresh: annual fee raised to $795
The card’s annual fee increased from $550 to $795 alongside a benefits overhaul, adding a $300 DoorDash credit and monthly Lyft in-app credits.
