Bilt Credit Cards
Bilt · 3 cards we compare
Bilt exists for one reason: it is the only card that pays you points on rent and mortgage with no transaction fee. Paying housing by card normally costs 2–3% through a third party, which wipes out any reward — Bilt charges nothing, and your landlord never sees a card. Bilt Card 2.0 split the product into three tiers and, crucially, removed the old 100,000-point annual cap on housing. The trade-offs are a high APR and modest everyday earning, so this is a pay-in-full card you point at your biggest bill.

Bilt Card 2.0 — the 100k rent cap is gone
Bilt replaced its single card with three tiers (Blue, Obsidian, Palladium) and removed the 100,000-point annual cap on housing points. Rent earning is now unlimited, and the old “5 transactions a month” requirement is history.
Obsidian is the new middle tier
Part of Bilt Card 2.0, Obsidian sits between the free Blue and the $495 Palladium: a $100 hotel credit, a 3x category of your choosing, 2x travel, and unlimited uncapped rent points.
Bilt’s first true premium card
Palladium launched with Bilt Card 2.0 at $495: a $400 hotel credit, $200 annual Bilt Cash, Priority Pass lounge access, no foreign transaction fees, and a flat 2x on everything.
$100 Bilt Cash just for opening
No spending requirement — the $100 credit posts on your account open date.
Blue is a rent card, not a spending card
At 1x on everything else, Blue is meant to be paired with a stronger everyday card. Use it for housing, use something else for groceries.
The $200 Bilt Cash covers year one
$200 credited at account open against a $95 fee — the first year is free and then some, with no spending requirement.
Rent cap removed across all tiers
The old 100,000-point annual limit on housing points is gone. If you pay $3,000+ a month in rent, that change alone is worth more than the fee.
Read the fine print on the $200 Bilt Cash
The $200 annual Bilt Cash is waived if you’re earning points on rent and mortgage. You pick one track or the other — so the headline $600 in credits is really $400 for most housing-focused cardholders.
Rent cap removed — unlimited housing points
Card 2.0 killed the 100,000-point annual cap on housing. For high-rent cardholders, Palladium is now the most rewarding way to pay a landlord.
