$300yrCapital One Travel credit
$300 back each year on bookings made through the Capital One Travel portal. It’s a single lump credit, not monthly — one flight or hotel booking can use it all up. This alone covers most of the $395 fee.
$1204yrGlobal Entry / TSA PreCheck
Up to $120 in statement credits for Global Entry or TSA PreCheck application fees, once every 4 years.
10,000Anniversary bonus miles
10,000 bonus miles (about $100 toward travel) every account anniversary — deposited automatically, nothing to activate. Stack it with the $300 travel credit and the effective annual fee drops to about $-5.

But as of February 1, 2026, authorized users no longer get free access — it’s $125 per additional cardholder — and guests now cost $35 each at Priority Pass and $25–$45 at Capital One Lounges. Free guests only come back if you spend $75,000+ in the prior calendar year.

February 2026NEW

Lounge access cut for authorized users and guests

As of Feb 1, 2026, authorized users lost complimentary lounge access ($125 each to restore it) and guests now cost $35 at Priority Pass and $25–$45 at Capital One Lounges. It’s a real downgrade for families — though solo travelers are largely unaffected.

2026

The $300 credit + 10,000 miles still cover the fee

The $300 Capital One Travel credit and 10,000 anniversary miles (~$100) together are worth about $400 against a $395 annual fee — so the card still effectively pays for itself before you count a single mile earned.

2026

Still the best flat-rate premium card

2x miles on everything with no caps remains the simplest earning structure of any premium travel card we compare.
